» Turkey to start selling electricity to Greece

A new page opens in the relationship between Turkey and Greece, both located on the two sides of the Aegean Sea. Greece wants to import 1 billion kilowatt-hour electricity from Turkey. Turkey has started technical operations for exportation. The top level authorities of the Greek electricity company came to Turkey in the last week of January. The Greek committee has officially declared that they want to buy electricity in 2007.
