    » Refuse collectors continue to strike

    After a summer of continual strike action by the refuse collectors, stopped only by promises of payment which has not occurred, residents are saying the collectors have every right to strike. they can only be lied to for so long......The workers have been promised after every strike that they will be back paid for there wages but this has still not happened. The workmen have families to support and it is outrageous that they are expected to work months on end without payment. Rubbish is now overflowing on the island threatening the hygiene and public health of the island.
