    » Archbishop Christodoulos refuses hospital treatment

    Archbishop Christodoulos has declined hospital treatment, telling aides he wants to be treated at his home in Athens, it was revealed yesterday. The head of the Church of Greece is suffering from liver cancer and continues to be in a critical but stable condition. After continual agonising pain he refused treatment and is confined to his bed at home. Meanwhile, speculation about a possible successor to Christodoulos is intensifying.
