Let us tell you our story and introduce ourselves, we are George and Vaso Spinos. We are a family run business which makes traditional Zakynthian woven products, such as carpets and table cloths. We are the only place on the whole of the Zakynthos that makes woven goods, in the old traditional Zakynthian way. We use an antique wooden weaving machine, called "Argalios" in Greek.
Vaso learnt how to use this machine and all the other ways of sewing and lace making from her mother,
35 years ago.
This art has been passed down from generation to generation, however not many people nowadays have these skills or knowledge, which makes our business unique.

We would love to meet you and welcome you to our home and show our weaving machine, so you can observe for yourselves how we make our products.
We will offer you a friendly welcome and you are invited to come and share a glass of our own produced local wine with us.
We also have a shop should you see any goods that you would like to buy, which offers very reasonable prices. |

We also take orders, so you can specify what colours and styles you would like.
If you have recently moved to Zakynthos and would like to decorate your home in keeping with tradition, our products may particularly appeal to you.
However, you are not obliged to buy anything, we would be happy just to meet you and enjoy your company and to show you the traditional Zakynthian art forms of weaving and lace making. |
